About two weeks ago, I had an amplifier on eBay. Anyway, it didn't sell on there and someone asked if they could buy it off me not on eBay. Anyway, met up just under two weeks ago, he gave me the money, took the amp and off he went.

He's now emailed me sounding pretty shitty, but he won't tell me what the problem is, but i'm presuming its not working.

Now I last used the amp in july, at which point it was working absolutely fine. It was then taken out of the car and stored in the house (nice and dry under the stairs). As a result, I think he's pulling a fast one as its nearly two weeks later and i'm 99.9% sure it was working absolutely fine when I sold it and he's subsequently broken it.

As per the poll, any suggestions? He's got my postcode and eBay id, but nowt like my phone number or full address.

Should I just tell him to whistle for it, as I think he's broken it and now is trying to blame it on me? Or should I offer to refund him as theres a 0.1% chance he's telling the truth?

Tell him that it was working when you sold it therefore he must of broke it, if he is being sound with you then come to some agreement but if he is being shitty like in the email tell him to fuck off

He bought it sold as seen. I guess you didnt let him use it on ur sound system to hear what it can do did you?

Help him out but if he wont disclose the problem he can STFU.

I didn't have a sound system to try it out on but I'd have been happy to. It's been sat under the stairs for 5 months or so, not being used so it can't have just broke.
