just brought some new brake discs and pads 20 groved, vented red dot brakes for my 1.2 16v sxi i no your thinging why because the car isnt that fast, but im wanting a coversion so i preparing my car and uprating the important thngs what do people think. coirsa b sxi are vented as standard arent they????

If your putting a bigger engine in then it would be better to put a 2.0 16v setup off and Astra/Cavalier or Calibra on

they offer no performace gain over OE brakes

if there vented and your old ones arnt, they wont fit.

are the ones in the pictures vented because my current discs on there look like they are vented with graps in the middle of the brake like in the one in the pic

sorry to say i can think of better places to spend the £150.... can get a v6 set up for that much! and can deffo get a 2ltr set up

id hope they would be vented for £150 but they wont make any difference as they will be the same diameter as your old discs anyway, they just look nice

no point upgrading the discs on standard 1.2 items the piston sizes inside the calipers are too small for 2ltr power range.
Need either 2ltr setup or the V6 setup if your wanting the conversion

my sxi brakes are vented i just checked just measured both and they should be perfect i got red dot pads what do people think of these

I still think a 2.0 set up would be better for stopping power and cheaper to buy. Also fill the wheels more

Calipers, Discs and Hangers off most 2 litre astra's and calibras will fit. Do a search and you will find loads of info.

Think what people are getting at are you've spent £150 on new parts for piss poor brakes!

You might as well of saved money and got a 2 litre set-up or an extra £65 and get a V6 set up.

Overall, IMO, not £150 well spent!

i payed £60 for 2.0 litre disc's, calipers and pads which were practically brand new. you got shafted
