I have set my hart on a corrado (or Golf mk3 )

but cant decide between a G60 or VR6.

Id like the supercarger but dont want to have to fork out big ££££'s if it goes pop.
But then id like a big VR6 lump, but the MPGs ive heard about are as low as 22
But my Mrs came up with a GTI i.e. A 2l 16v and spend a large amount on the body work ect.

decisions

I get an easy 35 if I drive really carefully and change gear early.

Motorways at 80 I can get as much as 40mpg. My car in 5th likes motorways, turbo is barely doing anything.
