lookin at a superchipped ecu off a 1988 x14xe, i asked if he has transponder and key chip and he said it doesn't need them as it been decoded. can this b done or is this bull?

can be done, but theres not many done as its difficult to do. also you will lose the immobiliser function. the vauxhall immobiliser system is one of the best around as well, so your car will be very stealable if you remove it!

anyway, superchips are crap. wouldnt bother. all of the x16xe engines i have worked on/ rebuilt that have been fitted with a superchip have been running very rich, one even showed signs of borewash.
