Anyone currently insured or ever been insured with Greenlight Insurance?

Just got a quote from them for £757 TPFT or £857 for fully comp..

(Was paying £1300 to Adrian Flux last year with 6 less points on my license so i'm extremely impressed with the quote but looking for others' experience...)

Cheers

I've tried about 8 of them.

Had quotes ranging from £650 to £3500.

The £650 quotes are for standard spec car though, the Greenlight quote was all mods declared like for like.

Why were you threatened with bayliffs Byron?

I paid monthly...by direct debit.

Replaced my car and they couldnt insure the new one (brand spankers merc sports coupe)...so they wanted to cancel my policy.

Fair enough, I will search for a new insurer. I cancel my direct debit as there is no need for it and infact they owed my a refund because I have paid beyond what I had used.

Then I get letters from a debt collection agency as I owed monies to so and so??

Turns out that when they offer you a pay monthly policy, they are infact taking out a personal loan on your behalf, paying the insurer, and then your monthly payments are paying the personal loan back. not once was I told that this is what they do.

By this time their telling me i have broken an agreement and I owed money to clear the debt.

Robbing, fuckers. Wouldnt give them my money again.

Even the telephone operator agreed that they didnt sell the product very well.

I'll be paying straight out for mine so should be ok in that respect. Will bear that thought in mind though as it's not particularly encouraging...
