Wlaby is correct, it stems from when the jews left isreal back in biblical times, then the arabs took over, and the jews came back expecting to be able to walk back in and have it back, but its not as easy as that. and the conflict has been going on ever since, becasue the jews havent found anywhere to settle and they believe isreal is theirs by right.
