I have had the worst day since I have been at University today.

Got woken by one of my flatmates, Mike, at 9am (ok, so not so bad) to say that after our lecture he had to take one of our friends, Carole, to the hospital as she had a split toenail that had got infected where she stubbed it.
So, I got up, Mike drove us to Uni and had the lecture, no problems.
I decided while we were there that while he was taking Carole to the hospital, I would sort out the speakers in my car ready to amp them on the weekend, and replace the bulbs behind the heater controls.
So, we left uni, and around half a mile from our flat, pull up at a junction and stop. Then get pushed around 2 or 3 yards forward as a car goes straight into the back of us. Tailgate and bumper are beyond repair, and the boot was jammed shut. We exchange insurance details with the guy, and carry on home, as the only thing illegal about the car was the numberplate was cracked.
I decided to take Carole, as Mike was shaken up and didn't really want to drive his car. We get to the hospital and end up being there for 4 hours.
Get out after she has been treated, to go back to the car and find I have been given a parking ticket for 'Stopping on a clearway'. I looked around before I parked, and saw no double yellows, no warning signs and around 10 other cars parked there, so I thought it would be fine. Luckily its only £30, and it wasn't clamped or towed away.
Sorry about the essay, but I'm just not in a good mood at the moment! Anybody else has a bad day?

not a good day for me either to go to my car this morning, to see windscreen smashed in, bonnet keyed up and drivers door keyed.
