Alright folks! got my old diesel engine on ebay and it will more than likely need to be sent Dowrn Sourth!

tried a search but to no avail.. maybe i was typing in the wrong words 'posting an engine'

so any courier companies best to use? do they drop the pallet u sort it and then they pick it up or what??

parcel2go on mig (use the link from migweb) will do it for about £75 i think. You'd need to get a pallet and secure it to it etc.

Look through the yellow pages or something and look at freight forwarding or couriers. The smaller companies (well smaller than dhl etc ) can give you good prices. The price quoted is usually for the whole of the UK aswell.

Ive had it done in the past for about 40 quid. You have to put it on the pallet yourself though and have it ready so they can just come and collect it from your house. Say they need a tail lift and pallet truck on the vehicle also as not all vehicles have them.
