Due to injury and general lack of skill, my playing days are over.
So I thought about doing my coaching badges and helping out at a kids football team.
Anyone got any ideas how to get these

i have also been looking into these. contact your local FA, for level one and two. level 3 and 4 are only done nationally on certain dates through the FA. let me know your progress, i am also looking into helping coach a kids team or set up a kids team in the near future, depending on my sunday league commitments of course.

Ive done level 1, 2 and 3. You need to seriously have some ability of a coach to do level 2 and 3 as it really hard. I failed level 2 and three once before passing second time.
level 1 however is a different story, anyone could pass that

My dads a qualified UEFA Coach (up to leval B) and hes taking his A Licence at the minute, He coaches at Huddersfield and has more qualifications than Jacko (the manager )
Anyways im wanting to do mine in the summer when ive saved a bit of cash. Best way to do it is to start at the very bottom and work your way up, you may be able to pass higher levals without doing the lower badges but its not recommended. You also have to complete a Child Protection Course, First Aid and a Laws of the Game course (although i think they are all incuded in Level 1)
As far as im aware you can take the courses over a number of weeks, or if you really want to get it done yhey do week long courses at various venues throughout the country (although these are mainly for the higher levels)
The early levels are cheap to do but if you want to work your way up the UEFA level then it can cost ££££'s to do as they aint many courses available
