If you get a good engine and gearbox then they are fun. If not they are gay.

Get a slip diff. Don't just buy and engine and box and chuck them in, strip and rebuild first. Spend as much money on the car as on the engine, and you will reaise all the power the engnie has, rather than just some of it.

Cons: Don't ever be tempted to be tight and cut a corner money wise with it. It will bite you in the pocket in the long run LOL

Personally I'd buy a cheap engine and totally rebuild it, and recondition a box. Would probably stand you at less than 3k too? Mind you wouldn't get a shell with that?

Just seems a lot at 3k. I've seen complete LET corsas go for just over 2k.

Plenty of places will do it. I know a couple near me.

If you want a slightly fooked box to swap, one of my spares has no 2nd gear syncro. Infact it would be an excellent box as it was totally reconned about 5 months before the syncro went (hoofed it on the strip).

£150 for that one. Its clean enough to eat your dinner off. I'd even meet you at Cumbria or something as I have to go and see Mr muppetsport.
