Mate of mines Nova. Has a standard C20XE with nitrous. But didnt have any gas in the bottle on Sunday. Usually has another 75bhp with the nitrous.

Starts got better throughout the day although 0-60ft is nearly 1/2 sec down on what I used to get in my old Punto GT

The track looks really slippery, is it supposed to have that kind of shine to it???

This is what we were discussing, now if the track was made out of normal concrete there would be a lot more grip, the trouble is Santa Pod is made more for the drag racers and motorbikes, if there was loose concrete on the track they would be all over the place and having stuff sucked up into their engines or even worse
A 15.6 or 15.3 at Santa Pod would probably be a 14.8 and a 14.5 at Crail

had ample grip when I went up pod in my Astra GTE 16v...
just gotta remember your launching a FWD car... and its quite likely 1st gear is going to spin a little!!!
managed 15.2 in a £50 car

Once I mastered the starts in the Punto I got great launches & very minimal wheelspin & that was in a turbo. Corsa just seems to spin up really quickly whether you nail it or ' try' to creep away
