what is your fuel consumptionlike?

my car seems to be running well, drive on country/back roads 75% of the time

try not to give it to much stick but only ever get just under 200 miles on £30 think i have a problem

i get about 50 - 60 to a tenner with my dblias..

I got a 1.4 8v and dbilas tb's and get about 200 miles on a tank, which is about £35

the inlet allows more air into the engine therefore more fuel goes in to compensate, thus the car uses more fuel

yes i understand the theorys behind it just was thinking i might get more like 200-250 mile to a tank

is there muchgain in these thing's i have the 1.6 sport and fancy playing with the engine but im only getting like 160miles outta £20,

1.6. with mantzel and exhaust manifold, de-cat pipe.

I'm managing around 320 miles to a full tank.

Still not bad, was on about 350 standard.

i have a decat and induction kit.
might help once i get an exhaust manifold and get it mappped i suppose

Think hes joking James I think mine is overfueling a tad at the moment, i want to try a lambda sensor without haveing to buy one, cant keep buying new sensors..

that means your getting over 100 miles too a tenner, unless you drive like a snail seems hard to believe...

Rob, I do a lot of motorway driving, thats where it comes from.

Were also looking at around £40 per tank, i like to use my reserve

my 1.6 16v with lemxula and other bits and bobs (140bhp) id 320miles to a tank.....

my tb'd 1.6 does 170-180 sometimes 200

i get 70-80 with throttle bodies and 165ish bhp.

oh, and anyone running inlet mods will see a big improvement in fuel economy if they get their ecu mapped

please explain how you come to that conclusion.

1. de-cats do not affect fuel consumption.
2. they defiantely do not cause valves to burn
