If you've seen the pictures of my Ibiza no doubt you will have spotted the chrome mirror covers and thought wtf is he thinking?

Well they came on the car - and ive spotted some brushed aluminium ones on ebay (which come standard on the FR) however Im not sure if I like them either.... so Im thinking of buying them, rubbing them down and attempting to colour code them - with a huge risk of ruining them, as im crap

Another option would be to fit the aluminium ones, and attempt to respray the chrome ones - but how easy is it to rub down chrome mirrors and spray them? I imaging a shiney surface like that is a real bastard to spray, but then again it may just sand off fine.

Any Ideas?

Brushed aluminium ones look cool, like on Audis. I'd get them personally and not try and spray em. Dont know anything about spraying them though

Yeah they look ok with the brushed ally ones, but Ive not seen one with colourcoded mirrors before, so wondering if they'll be better.

Ok then, Ill buy the aluminium ones and whack them on - I know they suit the car (certainly more than the chrome ones) and Ill spray the chrome ones black. then Ill post a pic with each fitted, and see what everyone thinks then - thats the safest option, and I can always sell the black ones on if Idont use them

For a start they aren't actually chrome. They will be plastic and either chrome plated or coated with a special paint... You can paint them in exactly the same way you would paint any other plastic.

Why don't you just make the decision yourself. You don't need to please anyone on here with your car...

I know, Its nice to have other opinions tho.

At the end of the day, If i like them black - I will keep them black despite what people say - its just good to get an outside perspective
