Someone has scraped my rear bumper whilst parking - I've got photos of the car parked next to mine, and photos of the scratches on both of the cars. Is there anything I can do about it? Will the DVLA be able to give me their contact details? Or is it just tough shit?

No, is that the only way of going about it then? It's nothing major, just the principle of it really. Still gonna cost a few bob if I bother getting it sorted.

well a mate of mine got bumped by someone who then just drove off - he got the number plate though - n went straight to the police station.

The driver of the car ended up paying for the damages to my mates car! - Because the police went round to the persons house.

I'm sure its technically criminal damage, but don't quote me on that. You also are legally obligated to report within 24 hours otherwise I'm sure you're leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging details. Worth a trip to the local cop shop.
