potentially a great player but it's alot of money for an unproven player.

we've got more cash to spend than Arsenal! We got 25mil for winning the Champ League last year, and he already had 20+ mil to spend anyway as he hasnt really spent too much.

Alot of money, good potential, will be interesting.

Dan't blame him for not joining the mightly blues because he won't get played as much, just look at wright-phillips.

i don't believe we have that much money to spend. the club are looking for investment and will have to re-coup the money spent on houlliers flops.

club are looking for investment to move the club forward (stadium and general behind the scenes stuff). The money has always been there for players if and when Rafa wants them.

I think teams should be limited to how many players they buy per transfer window, so if a team hasn't got many superstars, it will bring the youth academy players into first team football, thus bringing the English game to a better standard.

12 million for a 16 year old, wonder if that will go to his head

tbh, glad he joined Arsenal from what i've ready he's a speedy striker with a decent touch, and now he's got a chance to learn from the best (of that type of striker) in the world, so should be good for the lad

Dont even get me started on this Walcott crap.

Good player, has showed some nice touches etc.... bit £12,000,000??? Do me a favour, Michael Owen only cost a couple of million more, know which of the two i'd rather have.....

Its ok...the fee will eventually rise to 12 million odd but only after he has played so many games etc...which if he does that will probably mean that the 12 million they paid has been a bargain...

However they have invested mainly in the lads potential...
