....car needed some mapping doing to it after the cam timing was altered so i went to see jamie at jamsport in the morning, we did some live mapping in the morning as he needed to pick up some chips from buckingham.... but due to problems back at camp we never had chance to finish it, but i did get to drive like a tool which was fun!
anyway i went home at 1pm, did an oil change had a play with my alternator again, painted my gear box and cleaned my sump!!!! had dinner and headed back for 7pm
arrived there, not looking likely that any more mapping will be done, but wooo, at about 12ish we got going on it, new tps fitted as the one from some unnamed company was crap! bit of playing wit hthe cam timing again and back on the rollers...

the end result, car pulls like a train now, all the way thru the revs it just pulls and makes loud noises! how ace! not sure on power gained or stuff, not to fussed as it drives 200% better!

also whitnessed a quad bike on the rollers, how cool!

thats my essay over.... for the lazy people:

CAR MAPPED MORE, WORKS BETTER, BOY HAPPY!

£1000 supplied with loom, fitted and mapped. not to bad IMO, considering you can pay £800 for management and loom along then a complete map is ofter 500ish... emerald do cheap maps tho yes?

few fords are running it, a jag twin turbo and a scooby, that i know of

Thats a very very good price

Emerald management is about £750 for the switchable map, where u can set 2 maps and then like eds management on a LET you just flick between them.

So for the kit car we have a SVA/MOT/Emissions map which will be setup for the cat
and then the other the vtec will be switchable and map will be without a cat,
its £250 for a days mapping to map both maps.
And we dont need much of a loom as thats all is going to be running the car

if you go there for the engine stuff as discussed then yes they will indeed use the same management as i have.

You can put any map on the emarald ECU easily once you have conectected it to a laptop. Unless this is a new quick swap feature

This is a button on the dash that instantly swaps between maps
and we aim to get 3/4 maps made up for the car, so when on track days we can load the 2 maps for that and change between maps etc, can do it for straights, bends and change whenever you want at whatever throttle etc

brad surely if you have a good map done for balls out style driving you wont need to swap to another map specially for corners? can really change the delivery of power that much to get better torque and stuff without playing wit hthe inlet length surely?
