Car failed MOT

Bit of a suprise
Brake pads too low....
The constant velocity something not properly attached ...whats that?
Very high idle emissions....what could cause this...i have a KnN panel filter, could it be that?

Any help would be great! They even passed my jet black back lights...crazy..

Probably CV boot clip, they are prone to breaking, Pads are an easy fix but emissions could be anything. Induction kit may be best place to start

It basically just keeps the rubber boot onto the joint itself and stops grease spewing everywhere. If it gets too dry from grease it will fuck the whole joint up.

Sorry didnt realise it was only a panel filter, cant see that making a difference. Might be worth it anyway as its only a couple of clips to swap it back. Other than that it could be anything, Engine management light on or anything?

Ok, well i got it all sorted, 1 sensor replaced new brake pads and the CV joint fixed.......Well....ok it passed the MOT now it drives like shit. Turn the engine on and it idles at first at 1500rpm before slowly...and i mean slowly! droppin to 1000 and it usually idles at about 900rpm. Hmmmm so when i'm changing gear and my foot is off the accelerator, the revs are still where they were when i took my foot off the accelerator :S As well as this my brakes bearly work and have to be 'worn in', the cars fuckin undrivable....n e quick solutions...other than a bus pass

Ok i just took it out and ragged it about a bit, accelerating and stopping, seems fine now, even the idle...see what happens in the mornin. Have to be honest....my original vaux filter seems better than my KnN theres actually no difference, jus the KnN's a bit more of a fuel guzzler
