Really tempted to buy one of these beasts BMW E36 M3's.

The thing is i dont know alot about them. Can anybody shed any light on them?

Are there any major problems that will cost ££££ in the future?

Good car, looks well in black, I would personally have an Estoril Blue one but as already suggested, not the cheapest thing to run.

Sorry dude!!! It does really depend on what you want in a car. If you want a fast, reliable, comfy cruiser then the M3 is ok. I just didnt think it was much of a drivers car, much prefer my loud, dangerous, raw, light cars like my P1 and my old 200sx.

Take one for a test drive, you might love it!!!

Remember, it just my opinion.........theres no right or wrong!!!

M3's off the list for now then.

Just a few to look at now;

Toyota supra n/a (penis extension)
Toyota celica gt4
Nissan 200sx/300zx

Any others to consider then? Comfort is deffinately second to speed

One thing I did forget to mention was that my old car was a high miler.........it had 95k on it and 135k when I sold it. The whole front end of the car was resprayed along with the side skirts and the rear bumper so it was a little rough when I bought it! The other thing it needed was a £1100 retrim so it did ride round with a 328i interior for a little while. Think its got the coupe seats in it when the pic was taken tho

Would have pushed for 8k for an m3 but ideally 6k is about what i need to realistically spend...............not 18k+ for new types cars just yet.

Fook most of them are 100k on the clock anyway i thought this was ok for such a (supposibly) strong engine?

Yeah, it is............but you cant compare a high miler to a low miler. A low mileage M3 may be a different car, all the lard it carries just takes its toll I guess!
