Any nice restuarants i can take the missus to for valentines?

Honestly try it, you go in there and think OMFG this is going to cost me the earth but their prices are super duper.
If you want to pull out the works, check Square Meal guide for 2005. Will give a good guide for places in c.london aswell as prices per head.

Or to go with your 'homemade' valentines card, cook her a fantastic dinner and get all funk-ay with candles and shit. She'll be wetter then a otters pocket before she can even finish her starter.

if your after cheap but cheeful then you could try The Italian Kitchen on New oxford street.
its pretty nice in there and the food is lovely, there is another italian down one of the back roads in mayfair, but cant remember the name or the street so not much use.
