Hello All,

Wondered if you could help me find a bargain for a friend.

Basically he wants a PC, fairly recent spec, must be brand new (i.e. no links to ebay or classifieds ) and have a TFT.

Must be under £300

Can anyone help?

he'd be lucky to get anything 'decent' with that budget. Will be looking at 256 Ram, Celeron processors etc...

Should try and put a bit more towards the price and get something a bit better

Dell package?

Overall PC spec wont be fantastic if he wants a £300 all in jobbie.

He doesn't know anything about computers, he doesn't need a dvd burner or even a cd burner for that matter, he won't be demanding on the machine.
Just microsoft word/excel, internet browsing and emails.

when you click on the bundle it adds another £150 for the tft then VAT, ends up at over £450

If that's really all he can afford, then how about something like the £299 offer at http://www.dell.co.uk/tv

Although I'd at least up it to 512mb.

Think they only do free double memory for more expensive machines

Worth checking out their Dimension 3100's too. They actually work out cheaper for a higher spec as default, rather than upgrading the spec on the 1100's.

with a tft?

Pisses me off Dell, the price on the screen always goes up when they add mysterious shit here and there then you've gotta find it and remove it

Why not just leave it at the same price and let you "add" the other items

To get it back down to £299 just change the support contract to 90-days C&R...
