Hmmm kinda shitty day ... got pulled over not actually doin anything wrong and the *cough* Tw4t gave me a £30 fine for .. Mucky Reg plate ...
The thing is tho, it was a copper on a bike .. so only one of them .. Im thinkin about not payin it cos for a start it wasn't even that bad, But some1 told me they ave to get a witness #??? True ?
**I used the fine to clean my reg plate btw

if ur reg plate is dirty its illegal, u should know the law so what has the copper done wrong? its only a £30 fine, think urself lucky

what if he went thru a speed camera and the reg was too dirty to see? so u cant just wipe it, u deserve to get done for it.

i think its more harsh for people with dirty reg plates can go speeding thru camera and never get fined. but maybe thats just me who thinks that

I agree the police should do their job but being fined for having a dirty reg plate is harsh.
Deliberately obscuring it perhaps, but dirt is to be expected, its winter. I know it should be clean, but this could have been requested verbally.

wat is the rest of your car like? is the rest of your car dirty? if so then was a bit harsh, but still illegal,
but if you had a clean car with dirty plate then you was obviously keeping it dirty for a reason

Very harsh imo, its winter ffs, he want you car to stay gleaming everyday? You only have to drive for 5 minutes in this kind of weather and your car is dirty. I appreciate MOST of what our police force do, but there comes a point where they are takin the pi** a bit. I applied for the police myself and got most of the way through the recruitment process only to be turned away cos of my age, so it isnt like i have a hate for them, just dont see the point in charging you £30 for not cleaning your car often enough.
