Wouldn't mind one of these in the near future , instead of fannying about with engine conversions etc.

Just looking for good/bad points on them , and how your insurance is at what age etc ?

Dont bother with comments like " theyre shit don't bother" , justify it if at all possible.

Cheers

i have one,

the only reason they tend to break down in my opinion is thatppl rag them to fuck all the time..

if you drive sensible it will be reliable

power isnt bad depending on which gt model you get some have more bhp than torque and vv.

you can pretty easily got 170bhp from them, superchip, exhaust, decat, intercooler, 1.2 bar.

all in all a nice car to drive, handleing is good (well im on coilovers lowered 40mm with a strutbrace) but standard i dont think they are much cop..

if you have a m8 who has one ask him to let you test it.

I want one but the insurance is going to cost too much. Plus I can't get a new car until August. Guess I'll have to get a GSi

well its a 1.4 turbo as standard and they push out betwen 130 and 133 bhp

so i doubt turboing a 1.2 will get 170
