my grandad has a set, looks about the same amount of size that yours takes up in his loft, is quite impressive everything hes done on it, he can no longer get up into the loft which is sad

They are fuuuun, i went to an exhibition once when i was young with my dad, have much respect for the people that make those huge sets. Would never have the patience personally.

I dont however get on with UK trains, i love the American stuff namely the now defunct Conrail legacy. I did collect N Gauge stuff from the USA but sold it a year or so ago but thinking i might start up again and build a model of the Pittsburgh lines

Used to have a big '00' set when I was younger, had some really nice Wren steam trains etc in their original boxes Mine was based on an industrial layout though with lots of Diesel/loco's sadly don't have pics
