got 2 bucket seats to put in my 1.6 Sport, which the original seat has the seat belt buckle attached to the seat base and also the EXPLOSIVE tensioners!!!!!!!! am i still going to be able to fit the 2 front seats still once i get the correct seat bases????? has any one had the same problem as me.......HELP!!!!???????

your remove them when you remove the subframsn anyway, they can be disbaled by inserting the clip into the end of them, if you remove the trim around it all will become apprent

Yeah, you can use the original buckles/seatbelts/tensioners with the new sub frame. Id go with harnesses myself tho and lose the lot!

Buckets and seatbelts dont really work too well cos of the shape of the seat. I managed ok in my old Corsa with buckets and harnesses.

yea sorry from your post i was assuming that you would be using harness's

if you using aftermarket subframes as yet ive never seen a set with the mountins for the seatbelt/tensioner arangment

so can i still mount the original buckle to the seat base frame when i get it?
the seats are called Raceland and have an outline of a fox as the symbol? but i don't know what abses i need yet so i'll have to do my homework!!!

only way i can see it working is by mountin the buckets on the original subframes

If you're doing anything involving pretensioners, make sure the red clip is inserted as shown here:



Also, they aren't explosive, there's just a spring under tension in there that packs a punch if you set it off.

why would you want buckets with normal seat belts in surley you'd put harness's in?

No , I have seatbelts with my corbeaus

Think harnesses are pointless tbh as they never seem to be worn the right way

will that clip aleady be as its shown in the picture or will i have to insert it myself?

The red clip is just clipped to the end of the tensioner, you unclip it and put it into the slot provided like you see in the pic

As joe says...

It looks like a fork, you just pop it in so the two prongs stop it going off.
