I have a T reg Corsa GLS with the 1 litre 12valve engine, owned for around two years and have been haggered with problems since the start. One recurring problems seems to be the weakness of CV shafts and boots, having either side break on me twice. The 1st time this happened was on the day after i recieved the car!!!
Granted I've 15's on and lowered, but it's got low profiles and a full G-Max kit, not simply springs.
Amongst other things, I have needed an oil sump gasket, a gearbox seal, new cat, an idle valve, airflow meter and the motor seemed to be equipped with some very dodgy brakes!!!
These could be isolated problems and there's no doubt I bought myself a shittr, but I don't nail the thing around and the fact that a pal from work has has almost identical problems on his seems more than a coincidence.
It has to be said though, alot of monry has been spent and the thing runs like new now, but after amost paying the same as what you paid for the car in the first place, you have to wonder: was it worth it?
Exterior wise, all corsa's have perfect looks, especially judging by some on here anyway.
This is just to alert anyone about to embark on an adventure with a 1litre of the dangers
Enjoy
(Im off to buy a fiesta zetec s!)

there's that many sensors... they look like some kind of life support equipment i wouldn't think that the 1.0 12v had the ability to do driveshafts or cvs in though maybe theres a bigger problem, whats the history of the car ???

Stupidly, being my first car in all, I couldnt wait to get one, and when I saw it I had to have it.
I bought it private from a lassie from Alford, near Abereen. I soon found out that Alford has a reputatition for racing and I reckon its a safe bet it been nailed.
However, no problems for now and trust me, when your cv joint goes, you know about it. I still have nightmares about the sound it males!!!
