fancy a new runabout for work, currently got a astra gls 1.4but its very thirsty and engines a bit fecked

i want:

cheap tax bracket
45mpg or more
about 1000 to buy unless its fairly new then ill spend 1500
cheap tax (gp 4 or less)
3 or 5 door not fussed
air bag
high miles not fussed

whats the CHEAPEST corsa C you can find for sale? and i mean a half decent car

preffer vaux as they are cheap but thinking a 1.4 golf mk3, corsa derv gls 5 door?

i want something that wont get stolen, no 3 door corsas as ive had about 4 of them now lol

i have an astra 1.4 but its top spec, so weighs 8 tons and MPG is crap (75 miles to 10 quid)

i know vaux inside out and have spare bits that will last me for years. pug i know jack about

1.4 golfs are nice, i have one of them too (oil pump fecked) that my lass drives and i wouldnt mind another one. 100 miles from 10 quid which what i want minimum
