I'm a bit confused with how this works:

I made a claim in my 3rd year of insurance, does this mean I keep my 2 years no claims or not

I was guessing that I say I have 2 years no claims, then state I made a claim?

No you lose all your no claims.

Normally lose 2 years for a claim, though all depends on the insurer,
