I am currently waiting to buy a car that had a private plate on it.
the guy has apllied to dvla to transfer it and has had tax disc and mot ammended.
however he is still waiting for the v5, i dont mind buying the car and getting the v5 when it turns up, would this be legal??

i would just wait cus, he could turn round when he gets log book and said you nicked it, my log book only took bout 2 weeks to come through so it shouldnt be too long, but i know if i was buying a car and this was me reading these replies, id be like fcuk that im goin for it anyway i want i want i want, but its up to u pal, waiting would be the more sensible option

LOL @ m333ks, yeah you guys are right i am just being impatient and should wait(even though he is a really nice guy and trust him) its better to be safe than sorry.
just fed up of driving ford escort si with no heater or stereo lol....
