i spent a day trying to figger it out.

u first need a program called dvd decrypter.

step 1. open program once installed and insert dvd that you want.

step 2. click on MODE then select IFO I.

step 3. click tools
then settings
from pop up select file splitting drop down menu and click NONE. pop up can be closed after this.

step 4. on right hand table click tab call stream processing. then click enable stream processing and only tick the 2 top boxes.

step 5. click little folder in destination to select where you want to save the file as you will need it later

the second program that needs to be downloaded is call videora ipod converter.

step 1. click convert on the left hand side.
then click transcode new video.
step 2. select the dvd decrypter file that was saved from before. then click apply.

this will take some time to do but it is worth it. hope this has been some help.

website needed is

http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/

it is only the two programs you need. ipod converter and dvd decrypter. there is also a tutorial section that will be 1000 times easier to use than mine.

If the file doesn't import, itunes doesn't support it and something's been done wrong.
Try one of these guides:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/253137
http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/14/how-to-convert-a-dvd-for-your-ipod-with-video-in-windows/
I'd recommend the first one...
