Well Rach has the spare CD holder thing there, she was happy with not having it, but if I get her a Defi gauge she'll want it on view so may mount it on the A-pillar.

Opinions?

Yeah the DEFI gauges are around £150 each. But you need the controller to go with them. Which is extra.

I had 2 gauges on my A pillar. They were fitted into a mk4 specific pod from www.tuning.co.uk, although if I was going to do it again, I would mount them where you have already said. Looks alot tidier.

also no chance on the a pillar in the GSI as they have curtain Airbags which come out from there!
Unless she wants a guage in her face in the unlikely even of a side impact!
I would mount it in the spare cd slot, or a small pod on the dash somewhere

HEV over on astra-sport has mounted hers on the A pillar and I voiced my concerns to her about it.
She has been advised it is ok (something to do with the way the airbag is dispatched) - although I beg to differ, and personally wouldnt risk it.

Bugger that,
imagine a nice stainless backed guage with the glass hurtling into your face

defi are quite large though, mm id probably choose a small pod near the a pillar but on the dash or the spare cd slot,

ollie please tell me she has not fitting a VTA valve on the astra. it will sound gay and reduce performance. as for boost gauge why you want one not like it produces much lol

autometer if you really have to get one

Oh yes, I even looked at the fact it had Airbag written on the A-pillars, scrap that idea then. Might see if you can get a dash mount as when I had my Punto I had the boost gauge down low and you had to take your eye off the road to see it.

Ive got a full set of Defis in mine (Boost, oil pres, oil temp and boost) also running a head up display.

Defie are £150 each but you also need the Defi II controller which is about £100 (you need that whether you run 1 gauge of 8 gauges)

They are by far the best you can et tho!

Boost Gauge Pod and Gauge.
Suitable for Astra IV turbo models we've combined a Courtenay boost gauge and A pillar gauge pod at a special offer price of £109.00 when bought together. A saving of £10 if purchased separately.
