At the minute im running two cars, i use my nova for my 35 mile round trip to work and back each day in the snow and generaly crap weather.

My corsa, i only use when its decent weather. Not just sunny, but if the roads are ok.

I want to do a few more bits to the corsa. i need to spend £400 on bodywork bits, i want my wheels white and i want front and rear strutbraces, oh and i need 2 new tyres.

Now, im paying £100 a month for the corsa insurance and £60 pm for the nova. The nova tax and mot is due at the end of jan. It will prob pass, but thats £100 i could put towards my corsa.

I could sell the nova and get £300 for her no probs (been offered that) but then that means i have to use to corsa to get to work and back.

Whats everyones thoughts on this?!

Thanks, because im in a complete pickle!

If u use the corsa all the time instead of the nova thats adding 175miles a week onto it.
Id keep the nova and use that

JR, your right, its just cos ive got mot and tax on the nova next month, and tax on the corsa this month.

Just a lot in a short space - think ill ide the storm and see what happens.

Just dont know how much im going to be able to afford to do to the corsa while having two cars......but i suppose its only costing me £60 a month more using the nova.

Most people with a (properly) modified car should consider a run around...

IMO i couldnt use J18 everyday, and i wouldnt want to anyway

the fact it isnt very comfotable, has no heater, no way of demisting windows etc doesnt make it ideal for driving 50miles a day

and the other point it i want to keep it as clean non rusty/abused as possible

due to the fact its still onlly done 22k and is 10 years old

22k......be good if it was original wouldnt it! robins has done 21,940 and is 7 years old and is used every day, i can kind of see your point that you dont want it rusting but if it does its not that hard to fix really...... and people wont ever appreciate it as its just a corsa

It's just my opinion. I just that when you start modifying cars they break more easily... Oh and I have found that they are always uncomfortable and in my case the seats are a pain in the ass to get in and out of

its done both, but as its my first car, it still has sime sentimental value, and no vaule to anyone else

i can afford to run a nice enough everyday car, and keep J18 for shows/events etc

so i chose that option

ba dway of putting it, maybe i should have said that i have it sort of how i want it

because of that it makes it impraticle for work, and also i wouldnt facny leaving it where i leave the corsa c for 10 hors a day, and it proberly wouldnt be there anymore etc

i dont mind if people done appraicate it etc as its mine

just as i like thing to be nice my view is its likely to be in better condition if its done 22k than 60k which is what it would have done roughly if i used it normally

Just use the corsa and sell the nova, at the end of the day its an old vauxhall that will be worth pennys in a few years anyway, you might aswell just enjoy it
