this is a very common way to get into cars these days mate tis not just corsas, wen they broke into mine they broke the plastic surround the handle an flicked the pin up, they will always get away with this, if they want it they WILL get it,

as fr the 5.0 they were like that with mine best thing u can do is move an sort the repairs out.

the worst part for me was gettin into my car knowin sum1 had been in it that i had asked to b there, cud neva imagine what it wud feel like havin my house broke into

They can't pull the pin up if it's deadlocked though?

(or has your car not got central locking?)

deadlocks must have been on... as you cant pull the pin up then. the only way to get in with deadlocks is to total the door with a crowbar or put the window in

Every Vauxhall I've ever owned that had central locking fitted as standard had deadlocking.

If you have factory central locking but your deadlocking doesn't work, then you probably need to replace the 'dog' where the lock barrel thing goes, as I had the same problem with my mk3 Astra when I got it.

Had the same happen a short while ago. Exactly the same door, pulled open just the same amount. Except they pulled the button on the door up somehow. Not sure what this deadlocking is all about.

21st October, passenger and rear window smashed, steering lock broken, car not stolen, nothing missing.

23November, door prised open, CD's spilt everywhere but none taken, all that was stolen was the tool kit from under the spare in the boot, seems strange to me, they had to unscrew the wheel and lift the carpet to get at it, and thats all they done.

Anyone had similar experiences?

Can't beleive some people but it really is easy to fix wind the window down halfway

open the door put your knee in the middle of the door card and pull the door in towards you.
