I need an adapter that converts the phono output from a turntable to a line in. I know they exist but just cant find them anywhere on the net. I think I must be searching with the wrong words
Thanks Mark

buy a dirt cheap mixer. will do the job.
if sound quality is an issue then a preamp or decent studio mixer would be a better option.
what do you need to convert the signal for?

But if I want to take my laptop and use thsi time coded software Ive just got then I will need to take along the pre amps.
And if 1210s arnt proper DJ equipment then you must know something I dont.
There is a method to my madness

It lets you play mp3's but control them via a deck. You get 2 plastic records with simething in the tracks that sends a signal to the computer. You hook your deck (line output only) to a usb soundcard which connects to your computer. It does everything that it would do if you were actually playing a record, scratch, stop, drag back, change the pitch via the turntable, if you lift the needle up it stops playing.
There are loads of top DJs using them now so I thought I would give it a try as it isnt that expensive.
