Cant be a 2.2.

The frontera block doesnt fit the xe head and the xe cannot be bored that much.

it aint as far as im concerned. largest pistons for an xe are 88.5, mine are 87's in the let whch takes it ti jst under 2050cc

can buy a bigger block from a place down south... cant remember the name but they are well known!

can get a 2.4 block im sure...

you can get 2.4....

QED sell a 2.2 block that can be bored to 2.4 capacity...

2200cc can also be attained by using the frontera crank to provide a different stroke

what con rods do you use though as the frotnera block is 1cm taller than the xe, so pistons gonna be about smaking into the cam never mind the vlaves

wasent someone on here putting a fontera cranckshaft into a xe block.... givving it a different stroke...? hasent VT done somthing simular...

i could be talking bollocks though

Ive read about people making 2.2 and 2.4 but i have never heard of anyone using an original xe block as muppet sport says the piston size would be to big.

ps.... i'm on max bore of 88mm just now which gives something like 2090cc

I've had to scrap one block at rebuild d/t it being scored.... i.e no reoom to re-bore

so say a frontera stroke/crank is 95mm, with std bore = just over 2200cc
