Following on from last nights engine thread. Just been wondering really what options are available for the x16 and c16 engine, bar ram-air, TB's, Turbos, superchargers, excluding the obvious minors, what can you do to up the power, what do you reckon potentially the 1.6 is capable of BHP wise?

only real options are a new inlet such as mantzel, dbilas or lexmaul 
 
or throttle bodies. 
 
superchargers and turbos are far too difficult, expensive, unreliable and they wont perform as well as throttle bodies

To put it simply, yes   Weve established they are lighter and better on the track but flat out they suffer, just wondering how it could be made up really

GRP a is open bar the inlet and exhaust manifolds. 
 
so you're talking management, pistons cams lifters headwork etc..

Anydy H was at 215bhp before it broke (due to SBD valve springs  i belive) swindon got involved and i think it was running that power again reliably
