are they the most unreliable people in the world?

Been working on my drive for over a week and the fourth skip arrived this morning.

They rang and said they would be here mid morning with a JCB. Well its less than 20 mins until the afternoon and no sign of them

I cant go out until they are here!!!

shouldnt employ pikies then, get a reputable builder, the blokes on my firm are reliable, they have to be or they dont get paid by the management. Also with Insurance work we have to be perfect or all hell breaks loose with the insurance company.

as andyW said, they havnt put the hardcore down yet or levelled it, got a long way ahead of you yet.

So its road stone tomorrow, edges in friday and sand saturday if not ready on friday and then blocks on monday.

venom, two blokes working a week so far. Broke up the main drive a last wednesday but skip didnt arrive until thursday so thursday was spent filling that skip. Friday thhey started clearing that skip but the skip hire company couldnt get another until saturday morning. so saturday they cleared the harden into the skip and broke up the path and put that in.

Monday finished off putting the garden in and digging down.

Yesterday doug down tho 8 inches both side to set the levels for the digger and started the drain work.

Trying to find a pic.

He says that sounds about right, not much slower than your usual site workers, he says you should contra-charge the skip company though, and claim inconvenience, and say you've had days off work because off it.

not all builders are like that just lots of cowboys. Would never trust someone that wants payed in cash an wants money up front for materials etc. Alarm bells would be going off. I dont need to worry bout that anyway as my dads a developer so can get all the trades no problem
cqan take a while if there is only one man and a boy at it tho like most of these companys
