Was coming back from the petrol station today and theres a road with a bit of a hill in it so i i gave it a bit more gas to go up it. Then after not really paying attention i found myself doing about 34mph down the otherside (30 zone)
then I looked up to see one of those vans with the man and camera sitting in the back. It was quite far in the distance (bout 150m) so i slowed down and went passed at 30. But my question is how far away do they measure you from? or do they track you as i was the only one on the road at the time

I dont want to lose my clean license just yet

The chances are is your speedo read 34mph you were probably doing 1/2 mph less in reality, in which case I doubt youll get done for 32 mph, IIRC they allow a few mph over.

Depending on your county policing plan they will probably let you off, Bedfordshire allow up to 35 mph in a 30 zone, and a traffic officer will be able to use his discretion up to 39 mph

Hmm may be true but having bigger wheels (16") probably means it acutually was 34 if not more does it not due to the bigger rolling radius?

Reading a brick wall at 10mph did make me chuckle though
