need a full timing belt kit (pulleys, the lot) i think.



was just about to buy a smooth boot and bad boy bonnet aswell

its the second cambelt change on the car aswell.

very loud mate, louder than my exhaust lol.

thought it was alternator bearings myself, but turns out it wasnt.

had to drive it, i cant get to work otherwise.

i bought a bloody alternator for 50 quid thinking it was that (battery was flat every morning)

you wouldnt get lack of power from an altenator, however you probably still had a knackered altenator....

you shuda got it sorted tho, it always costs more in the long run

today was first time i could get it sorted.

alternator is fine, he took belt off so alternator wasnt running, and pulleys were banging away like the clappers lol

im guessin that the tensioner has seased (sp) up and its loosened the cambelt off. i had this happen on my old 8v nova n the belt used 2 smack the casin n make it sound like a rattle. best gettin it changed asap as u dont want the belt jumpin a tooth unless ur plannin a 2.0 conversion lol
