1400 bottom end (note the raised piston tops


1600 pistons note dishing and cut out on exhaust aswell as inlet (unlike 1400 ones


shot of 1400 pistons out the block


1600 left 1400 right


as above note the different pitson deck to pin heights and the skirt lengths. the 1400 has much more skirt on the thrust faces


Another of the skirt differentces


16v rods right and 8v left, the mating faces of the rod on the 8v they are machined flat, on 16v they are cast in one piece then fractures to make the rod and cap, much strogn as less stress is put on the comprnets as no machining is done.


1400 clutch, the flywheel, lighter than the pot type 1600 flywheel assembley
