Banning the st georges cross is basically the same as rascism IMO.

The issue with the flag, indeed any flag, is that in a multicultural society and one single flag is not inclusive of all residents. No one suggested that the flag is racist, and it is absurd that a flag should not be displayed on those grounds.
Most occasions in which flags have not been displayed have more to do with caution and pussy footing than an outright ban.
Ben - don't go too far with your reactionary standpoint. I'm all up for discussion but don't go the other way with it.

A flag has nothing to do with religeon OR race....
Englands flag is so because of its HISTORY. Nothing can change that, the fact there are muslims/jews/JW/anyone else living here is IRELEVANT.
There are so many St. georges crosses in london i thik it gives the city a very glamorous image, promotes england/london and attracts to the beauty of the city (think roadsigns traffic poles grit bins etc)
Gives it excellent identity.
Everywhere in the world is now becoming a "multi cultural" society as emmigration and immigration become rife due to our economy, and the same problem is with america.
Do the americans think about changing their flag??? No.
It is absoloutley disgusting to insinuate that ist a "racist" image.
It has been here for hundreds of years.

yes it were classed as rasism with flying the flag , we had one on our local pub and our bloody local mp made them take it down, to me this is bloody racism . makes me sick
infact i am getting sick to fucking death of hearing this word , its beond a joke. imaging what our grandads and grandmas would of said if they were still about , after they faught the war to save this country.
wel its fucked now, this country is going down and down due to immigration , they have let too many in , they should deal with the people who are here first .
and i have also noticed that its only been the last few years where this suiside bombings come into play in this country , and again i aint been rasist its a fact , everyone had links with another country outside england and they were all the same type of people.
i find it sickening that we dont have the "freedom of speech" that we are allowed , as when we do speak we get branded immediatly. they say we are racist as its the easy way.
i aint replying again in here because it makes me soooooooooo mad

Because if you think about it, the only people who are obsessed with covering everything they own in St Georges cross are BNP ass holes.
