am at uni, got exams at end of semester 1 and 2.
ma semester 1 exams start tomorrow, am not confident at all.
just wondering if anyone else has failed exams at uni, had to do 1st yr again or similar?

depends on your particular uni, some let you retake them depending on score, some make you resit who year again.
First year is normally a piss take though, I did fuck all work and still walked it with a 1st.

ya we do get to resit these ones, in august, so its gona fuck up my summer a bit.
am doin maths, its solid

business management at Manchester UMIST (needed AAA to get in) so no easy course for me either!
Most pass levels are around 40/45%, so aslong as you get above that it doesnt matter...its only your 1st year after all!

I did maths at uni last year, messed up my exams in jan, so tried harder 4 summer exams, failed them too, messed up my resists.
I didnt wanna retake the year, so dropped out and started on a course more suited to me and now i love it! And im doing better!

No i thought it was gonna be the end of the world when i got my resit results back! But there are always other options
You are only at semester one, you have loads of time to get back on track and back into the work
I recommend re writing your notes after lectures and doing all set work! Thats the only way you can do well in maths! I left revision all till last minute and obviously it doesnt work!

Depends on the uni you go to.
Some will let you through to next year for registering with them.
Other unfortunately won't.

The uni i'm at allow you to keep resitting modules until you pass. It's £150 per module. I had a maths module which i couldn't get through but as my average was above 45% they compensated it so i just get a pass mark.
