Yeah, just a bit...... knew it was there.
Spoke to the guy about it and he said it needs a re-map/chip to fix it.

Peak torque made at 6200 rpm

bit unusual for a 16v ...

If that torque line is accurate, remove the limiter and it'll make more power as it's still flat when it hits the limiter.

Yeah, thats what i thought.
Need to get it mapped and the limiter raised a bit to see. It hit the limiter with the power still going up!

Its like a Mantzel, it replaces the standard inlet manifold which is restricitve and gives it a more direct route.

Check on Regals web site for details..

BHP and torque are meant to corss eachother at 5250rpm, so looks a little spurious, but a good number all the same

Interesting, thats suprisingly high torque for a tuned engine. Although very high up the powerband

Remember the torque is in Nm not lb/ft.....

118Nm is about 90lb/ft.

Yeah... no too bad. Not sure how to increase the torque figure.

What chip / re-map did you have on your motor?

Much money do you want to spend?

Whats been done already? filter & exhaust/de-cat is a good place to start.

i had brosters old ecu, which had a mappable eeprom chip fitted and mapped by jamsport

was mapped for his 138bhp 1.6 but seemed to do the job, the main thing it did was eliminated the flatspot, and let the engine rev to 7200rpm

cool.... need to look into this a bit.
Unichip would be the best bet but that dont raise the limiter.

unichip is another box which plugs into the ecu and fools it though, its not an ideal setup

mappable eeprom and mapping would only be around 250 notes anyway, and would be better, as the ecu does the work
