Would the Calibras 4 wheel drive system actually do the job though?
The Calibra was only 4 wheel drive part time and even the it was something like a 25/75% rear/front distribution.

What do you guys think?

what would work?
doesn't it all have to be compatable?
or are 4x4 systems generic?

Used 4x4 system from Calibra Turbo.
Increased front track with of corsa so that it is the same as the calibras. (as using calibra driveshafts all round)
Removed steering rack & refitted 30mm higher up bulkhead so as to clear transferbox. Still very tight though.
Fabricated new lower crossmember to accept rear gearbox mount.

Rear- cut original corsa floor pan out to behind front seats. Weld in Calibra floor pan to mount original calibra independant rear suspension & diff. Petrol tank fabricated in boot.

Prop shaft shortened by 180mm. (taken from the the third section of the shaft at the rear diff end).

did you do it mate?
would the 4x4 be good off road?

apart from the engine swap is it a huge expensive job... my mates a Vaux mechanic so knows what he's doing on stock off the shelf crs but would he find it difficult?
