...is it a good thing to do or not? i've bought her tons before with her being there to choose .etc but i heard if you get it wrong then you can easily offend and just fuck it up basically so am i better of letting the missus choose or should i just give it a stab - she's the type who would be happy whatever but wouldn't say if it was wrong

I didnt get the suspenders - just bra and thong. You dont get the stockings. You could get those from M&S or somewhere like that probably. Or there must be some on Ann Summers.
