I'm hoping some bright spark out there knows a way round this.
I've just bought a Corsa with a FF cd player in that I want to put in the mother-in-Law's car.
Problem is, the usless barsteward who owned the car before me, has misplaced all the handbooks and owners manuals as well as the code for the radio.
Vauxhall can get me it but want to charge me £20 for the pleasure. Robbing gits.
Does anyone out there know how to crack the code without having to part with any, or at least a lot less than, £20?

Speak to the dealer the car actually came from -- they will have it on record.
Check the number plates for their phone number, or the keyring
I got my codes for free...

Each time you enter it wrong it won't let you try again for an increasingly long time. Think after I tried 3 times I had to wait about 30 minutes to try again with the key in the ignition

Log entry #108
Day 131
After numerous entries into my radio, I'm beginning to think £20 was a snip when faced wih the possibility of entering all 9999 codes. I am currently on 3674 with no luck.

Yeah but he's already spoken to the guy who owned it previously and he can't find the handbooks OR the code for the radio, even though he says they are all together.

I mean the dealer that originally sold the car -- the original Vauxhall dealer as I said above (look on the numberplates)
(I figured you completely ignored me above )

your best off paying £20 as you will get a car pass for that which aslso gives you the key number and security number to code the immobiliser etc etc
or I have seen programs on ebay like nokias unlocking calculators but for radios!

Like tim says find out what dealer it came from, then ring them but ask to speak to the sales admin dept, when you get through, say you are calling from (your local vaux) and you need the radio code as your computers have gone down and it was logged on there.
usually they give it to you, this method can be used for most codes as service dept want to earn money, where as sales admin are usually doing their nails and have nothing better to do
