i put my car in for its mot and it failed on its headlights ive got the ultra angel eyes which are E marked so i contacted ultra and they faxed me the paper work for them which has been stamped to show they are legal.
the reason for failing was the halo ring was too blue and the and the beam pattern was incorrect.
just wondering what i should do cheers

I'd contact VOSA about the ring, or just disconnect the wire to the ring (angel eyes I have seen also have an LED on a separate wire? leave this connected)
as for the pattern, are they euro ones by anychance, you might have to change the reflector things between lights?

blue lights are ilegal on anything other than a police vehicle.

sorry, but thats absolute dog pile 
if you read the appropirate documents in the road traffic act (theres 2 of them, cant remember exactly what ones) it states blue lights are only illegal if they are trying to impersonate an emergency services vehicle, and it gives an example, something basically saying for example, you can not have a pulsing or rotating blue light (i.e. the spoon type flashing lights)

Lights on the front of the car must be white, with the exception of indicators.

Basically section 1 says your dim-dip (ie. side lights) must be between 10 and 20% as bright as your normal dipped (ie. headlights).
Section 2 then says they must be in the right place and white.
Thats the law, which technically its not the testing stations job to enforce, they should go on the VOSA guidelines which are not similar in all cases.
