Think im going down this road, Awaiting loads of negs about them but hey i like the idea.

And i can pick up a whole car with 77k for under £200

To be honest i aint looked into it but i know the xe aint group 12 like the ohc 8v is.

Insurance should be pretty cheap compared to xe corsa's which are group 16

I think its a gd plan to fit that engine

2.5 v6 is a mass lovely engine but it has weight to match with a hefty gearbox

I think you should go for a 1.3 Nova SR engine with a wild cam and some carbs totally different then and save even more weight

sounds good. in the early days could you not buy the nova SR with a sports carb package? which came unfited for diy install?

dont know. The Nova Sport came with an Irmscher cam and a different carb I think but could be wrong.

That was the nova sport. Got delivered to the dealership without the weber and graphics etc

had twin 40's and random rare as feck irmscher inlet box on the carbs. awsome cars.

if its the money concerns canny go wrong with the old 8v seh

I remember years ago my Dad used to have a Cav MkII SRi 130. He had his set up on the rolling road by the GM DealerSport Nova rally driver David Metcalfe (think thats what he was called) and it went very well clutch went shortly after that

8v it is then full gas flow nice 4 branch, cams and veriers and a unichip Great. now to track down a good engine asap.

if your going to tune... you really should just get an XE in the first place fella...

as someone said in your other post... you will always be playing catch up with the XE's when you start tuning it

the engine weighs roughly the same as the xe, and when fited into corsa uses same g/box
