I've been having an argument with this guy tonight...
At firs the conversation was him telling me he's getting a K&N induction kit for his vectra. So I said "get a pipercross will sound nicer".
He then went on to tell me that K&N had massive power gains 
He is a trainee mechanic and his teacher had told him a K&N induction kit adds a 1/3 (third) of a turbos power to a car!!? 
Of course this raises the many questions, but he stuck to his guns that his college teacher was right and a K&N induction kit adds a third of turbo power...
So to try and beat him I asked what PSI the imaginery turbo was running that the K&N was getting a third from, confusing i know 
Can you guys post some stuff in here to just blow his teachers collocks out of the water as it's really pissin me off

well it made me laugh....1/3 of the power.... u best tell the LET lads about this little mod that can give them this extra bhp

this is the other odd thing...
I said "so if i add an induction kit to my car that means i'll have 1 & 1/3 turbo power "
and he said "no, it doesnt work like that!"
He was getting really wound up at this point

33% more power from an induction kit.
Even K&Ns own marketing does not claim that.

Or sorry maybe I misunderstood this guy.
He means like an XE is 150 brake, a LET is 200 therefore the turbo is giving you 50, third of which is 16.5.
An addition 16.5 brake on an XE with an induction kit alone - has this been anyones experience - no?

get him to RR his car before and after the filter. Watch his face drop as he realises hes gained 2 bhp.

BUT!!!
He never said what turbo it as getting a third of the power of. Lets say the K&N adds 5bhp. The turbo may add 15bhp. Therefore he is right?

everyoen seems to be missing the point...the sentence itself doesnt make sense
