Not for me before it starts!
For my ladyfriend, think this may help her SAD and shes allways banging on about them, ive tried to dis-suade her as im not a fan of them cos of health risks but once cant hurt her.
Sooo,
What do u do
Do u have to book? Theres a few local to me in windsor and maidenhead no one seems to have a website and im stuck at work.
How expensive would like a couple of sessions be?

only about £1 a minute I think, atleast when my ex used to use them.
Though it may make the SAD go away, the cancer might make her feel worse

I am a beautician, and i wouldn't advise them at all, and i won't even work anywhere where they have a sun bed i hate them that much. Once someone goes on them, they can get addicted and want to go on them ll the time. It will not help SAD, you are best getting one of those light bulb that were discussed earlier. If she has a mole that has a cancer gene in it, just a short amount of time on a sunbed can affect it. Don't suggst that to her as a way of getting rid of SAD.

you call up your local tanning salon, beauty therapy salon or whereever has the sunbed etc and arrange an appointment time to book the sunbed for x amount of minutes.
Most places will do session offers such as pay for 5 get one free. Prices will vary depending on how long they offer. In my local it is 20 minutes for £6.00.
Its recommended not to have one more often than one every other day.

UV radition damages your skin and causes cancer. it is also used to kill bacteria. at work I use UV light but I am covered up head to toe. goign on a sunbed is stupid. people that use them are idiots

I go on sunbeds all the time, they're like 25p a minute where I live, it's cheap as chips. Really good ones here, you don't have to book you just walk in, pay in the machine and walk into the bed..

I do sunbeds, havent been for a a week or so but i think like anything these days there good if used in moderation and sensibly!
Dont go and do 12minutes on ur 1st session or anything like that.
I do 6 minutes at a time and it's worked a treat!

If every single person that ever used a sunbed got skin cancer i doubt they would even produce them
Its not that much different to having a weeks holiday at peak season and spending all day by a pool its just you are getting a higher amount quicker depending on the amount of time you stay on it

No one is saying it will get rid of the s.a.d but for some people it does help them control it. It varies person to person so unless you try you may never know if it will work for that individual

she doesnt want a tan, well she does but thats not the reason im after a session for her in one.
As stated above i think they are nasty machines, but surely the uv rays and vitamin E cant be bad for you/
She has just been on holiday im not made of money how could i afford to go to oz

alot of the cancer stories attached with sunbeds are blown out of proportion. There have been just as many studies that say if you take proper precautions (use lotion, cover up moles, dont use them loads) then you'll be fine.

What i have learnt in beauty about sunbeds, makes me 100% certain i would never use one. It is not the same as going on holiday. You use dsuncream on holiday and burn when your skin is trying to tell you you have had enough, you don't get this with sunbeds. The damage can't always be seen. I just wouldn't advise them, especially not for SAD.

I go on for like 8 minutes about twice a week now to just maintain my tan, I don't think that's really much of a danger. When the weather gets sunnier I tend not to bother using them at all, just use natural sun.

You can use protective lotions on sunbeds.
You burn because the sun is cooking fat cells in your body and that tends to happen after quite a while in direct sun.
Can you medically prove that it would not help this individuals s.a.d in anyway? And why wouldnt you recommend it for s.a.d?

If his gf thinks that it is the sunbed stopping her from being unhappy in the winter, she is going to use them all the time isn't she.
