yup, you have to have an up to date nero, ie; not one off a few years ago so it has that facility

my nero sucks dick. You chooses the file, blah blah..then it starts "transcoding"...3 hours later it comes up with some stupid error and terminates...!
Nero sucks hairy men. imo.

that's a good point...how long am i looking at 'time wise' to encode a divx to a dvd...?
I know it differs depending on processor, etc but just a rough idea

it takes me about 3 hours to do.
Then it decides not to work.
Depends on what youre copying though..Like small clips take 10 mins. But films take hours.

Thought as much tho. But once it's burned once it doesn't take long to copy DVD to DVD does it? I've never actually used my DVD burner but i've got a few movies i'd like to take round to a mates to play on his DVD player this weekend.

i love not having to transcode avi to dvd anymore. I just plug my laptop into peoples tv's and watch it that way.
much much faster way of doing things

The bonus of having a work laptop, if it gets broken then we just get it fixed or replaced

Its nero vision express you are all wanting to use.
On most files I try it with though it untroduces a stutter to the burned dvd.
As far as I can work out its something to do with the way it handles synching the sound and video.
